A Letter to Brothers and Sisters Still in Heretical Groups or Cults

If you have already joined a certain group, please do not become angry as soon as you read these words, and do not rush to argue against them.
我真诚地希望你能给自己一点时间，重新回到圣经，认真查验。
I sincerely hope that you will give yourself some time, return to the Bible, and examine everything carefully.
一个人最大的悲剧，不是不够努力，而是努力走错了方向。
A person’s greatest tragedy is not a lack of effort, but working hard in the wrong direction.
信仰不是一场比赛。
Faith is not a competition.
不是谁更热心、谁更辛苦、谁奉献更多，就一定更接近真理。
A person is not necessarily closer to the truth simply because he is more zealous, works harder, or gives more.
人生最大的赌注，不是事业，不是财富，也不是名声，而是我们的信仰。
The greatest risk in life is not our career, our wealth, or our reputation, but our faith.
因为这关系到永恒。
Because it concerns eternity.
方向若错了，走得越远，就离目的地越远。
If the direction is wrong, the farther you travel, the farther you move away from the destination.
付出的越多，损失也可能越大。
The more you give, the greater the loss may become.
信仰最重要的，不是热心，而是真理。
The most important thing in faith is not zeal, but truth.
不是前程，而是方向。
It is not your future prospects, but your direction.
方向若错了，越虔诚，越忠心，问题可能越严重。
If the direction is wrong, the more sincere and loyal you are, the more serious the problem may become.
我们都见过许多非常虔诚的人。
We have all seen many deeply devoted people.
有些穆斯林每天按时祷告，几十年如一日。
Some Muslims pray at fixed times every day and continue faithfully for many years.
有些佛教徒长期吃素、苦修、诵经，甚至放弃世俗享受。
Some Buddhists remain vegetarian, practice self-denial, chant religious texts, and even give up worldly pleasures for many years.
他们的认真和坚持，常常令人敬佩。
Their seriousness and perseverance are often admirable.
然而，真诚并不能自动保证正确，热心也不能代替真理。
However, sincerity does not automatically guarantee that a person is right, and zeal cannot replace truth.
使徒保罗曾这样评价自己的同胞：
The Apostle Paul once said this about his own people:
“我可以证明他们向神有热心，但不是按着真知识。”（罗马书10:2）
“I can testify that they are enthusiastic about God, but they don’t understand the way God wants people to follow him.” (Romans 10:2, NCV)
保罗并没有否认他们的热心。
Paul did not deny their zeal.
而是指出，他们缺少真正认识神的知识。
Instead, he pointed out that they lacked true knowledge of God.
因此，圣经从来没有教导我们，只要有热心就够了。
Therefore, the Bible never teaches us that zeal alone is enough.
圣经不断教导我们：
The Bible continually teaches us:
要查验。
We must examine everything.
要分辨。
We must practice discernment.
要回到神的话语。
We must return to the Word of God.
不要盲目跟从任何人。
Do not blindly follow anyone.
无论那个人多有恩赐、多有能力、多有名望、多么会讲道，都不能代替圣经。
No matter how gifted, powerful, famous, or eloquent a person may be, that person can never replace the Bible.
如果有一天，你发现自己的信仰建立在某一个领袖身上，而不是建立在基督身上，请停下来，认真思想。
If one day you discover that your faith is built upon a certain leader instead of Christ, please stop and think carefully.
如果你发现自己的信仰建立在某一个组织身上，而不是建立在圣经身上，也请停下来，认真思想。
If you discover that your faith is built upon a certain organization instead of the Bible, please also stop and think carefully.
不要害怕重新查考圣经。
Do not be afraid to study the Bible again.
不要害怕提出问题。
Do not be afraid to ask questions.
真正出于神的真理，不惧怕查验。
Truth that truly comes from God is not afraid of examination.
真正属于基督的教会，也不会害怕信徒回到圣经。
A church that truly belongs to Christ will not be afraid when believers return to the Bible.
愿我们都像庇哩亚人一样，甘心领受神的道。
May we all be like the Bereans and gladly receive the Word of God.
也愿我们天天查考圣经，要晓得这道是与不是。
May we also examine the Scriptures every day to see whether these teachings are true.
“这地方的人贤于帖撒罗尼迦的人，甘心领受这道，天天考查圣经，要晓得这道是与不是。”（使徒行传17:11）
“These people were more willing to listen than the people in Thessalonica. The Bereans were eager to hear what Paul and Silas said and studied the Scriptures every day to find out if these things were true.” (Acts 17:11, NCV)
愿神赐给我们谦卑。
May God give us humility.
愿神赐给我们智慧。
May God give us wisdom.
愿神赐给我们勇气。
May God give us courage.
使我们一生跟随的，不是任何人。
May the One we follow throughout our lives not be any human being.
而是那位道路、真理、生命的主耶稣基督。
May we follow the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life.
