三、作盐和作光不是隐藏自己
III. Being Salt and Light Does Not Mean Hiding

《马太福音》五章十三至十六节说：
Matthew 5:13–16 says:

“你们是世上的盐。盐若失了味，怎能叫它再咸呢？”
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?”

“以后无用，不过丢在外面，被人践踏了。”
“It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by people.”

“你们是世上的光。城造在山上，是不能隐藏的。”
“You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden.”

“人点灯，不放在斗底下，是放在灯台上，就照亮一家的人。”
“People do not light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they put it on a lampstand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.”

“你们的光也当这样照在人前。”
“In the same way, let your light shine before others.”

“叫他们看见你们的好行为，便将荣耀归给你们在天上的父。”
“Then they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”

盐若只留在盐罐里，就不能发挥盐的作用。
If salt stays only inside the salt container, it cannot do its work.

灯若被放在斗底下，就不能照亮黑暗。
If a lamp is placed under a basket, it cannot shine into the darkness.

同样，基督徒若只在教堂里面谈论真理，却不在生活中实行真理，就没有真正发挥盐和光的作用。
In the same way, if Christians only speak about truth inside the church but do not practice truth in daily life, they are not truly acting as salt and light.

基督徒作盐和作光，不只是指向别人传福音。
Being salt and light does not only mean preaching the gospel to others.

传福音当然是教会最重要的使命之一。
Preaching the gospel is certainly one of the church’s most important missions.

但是，好行为、怜悯、公义、诚实和保护邻舍，也都是基督徒见证的一部分。
But good works, mercy, justice, honesty, and protecting our neighbors are also parts of Christian witness.

当社会充满谎言的时候，基督徒应当说诚实的话。
When society is filled with lies, Christians should speak honestly.

当社会欺压软弱者的时候，基督徒应当保护软弱者。
When society oppresses the weak, Christians should protect the weak.

当权力失去约束的时候，基督徒应当指出权力的界限。
When power becomes uncontrolled, Christians should point out its limits.

当人类生命被轻看时，基督徒应当维护生命的尊严。
When human life is treated as unimportant, Christians should defend its dignity.

当婚姻和家庭受到破坏时，基督徒应当以真理和爱心维护神所设立的秩序。
When marriage and family are being harmed, Christians should defend God’s order with truth and love.

第二章：爱邻舍必然包括社会责任

一、爱邻舍不是一种抽象感觉
I. Loving Our Neighbor Is Not an Abstract Feeling

《马太福音》二十二章三十七至四十节说：
Matthew 22:37–40 says:

“耶稣对他说：‘你要尽心、尽性、尽意爱主你的神。’”
“Jesus said to him, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’”

“这是诫命中的第一，且是最大的。”
“This is the first and greatest commandment.”

“其次也相仿，就是要爱人如己。”
“And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”
