“All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commandments.”

爱神与爱邻舍不能被完全分开。
Loving God and loving our neighbor cannot be completely separated.

一个人若声称自己爱神，却对受苦的邻舍毫不关心，他的爱就值得怀疑。
If a person claims to love God but does not care about a suffering neighbor, his love should be questioned.

爱邻舍不只是说几句温暖的话。
Loving our neighbor is not only saying a few kind words.

爱邻舍也不是只在别人来到教会以后才帮助他。
Loving our neighbor does not mean helping a person only after he comes to church.

真正的爱会关心邻舍的生命、安全、家庭、自由、财产和公正待遇。
True love cares about our neighbor’s life, safety, family, freedom, property, and fair treatment.

如果邻舍正在被抢劫，我们不能只为他祷告，却拒绝报警。
If our neighbor is being robbed, we cannot only pray for him while refusing to call the police.

如果邻舍正在被诬告，我们不能只说“神会管理”，却拒绝为真相作证。
If our neighbor is falsely accused, we cannot only say, “God is in control,” while refusing to speak for the truth.

如果政府或其他权力机构错误地伤害无辜者，基督徒不应以“顺服掌权者”为理由保持沉默。
If a government or another powerful institution wrongly harms an innocent person, Christians should not remain silent by using “submission to authorities” as an excuse.

真正的爱必然会采取合乎圣经、合乎法律和合乎智慧的行动。
True love will take action that is biblical, lawful, and wise.

二、好撒玛利亚人的比喻
II. The Parable of the Good Samaritan

《路加福音》十章三十至三十七节说：
Luke 10:30–37 says:

“有一个人从耶路撒冷下耶利哥去，落在强盗手中。”
“A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he was attacked by robbers.”

“他们剥去他的衣裳，把他打个半死，就丢下他走了。”
“They stripped him, beat him, and went away, leaving him half dead.”

“偶然有一个祭司从这条路下来，看见他就从那边过去了。”
“A priest happened to go down the same road. When he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.”

“又有一个利未人来到这地方，看见他，也照样从那边过去了。”
“A Levite also came to that place. He saw the man and passed by on the other side.”

“惟有一个撒玛利亚人行路来到那里，看见他就动了慈心。”
“But a Samaritan came to where the man was. When he saw him, he had compassion on him.”

“上前用油和酒倒在他的伤处，包裹好了。”
“He went to him, poured oil and wine on his wounds, and bandaged them.”

“扶他骑上自己的牲口，带到店里去照应他。”
“Then he put the man on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.”

“第二天拿出二钱银子来，交给店主，说：‘你且照应他；此外所费用的，我回来必还你。’”
“The next day he gave two silver coins to the innkeeper and said, ‘Take care of him. When I return, I will repay any extra cost.’”

耶稣问：“你想，这三个人哪一个是落在强盗手中的邻舍呢？”
Jesus asked, “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”

他说：“是怜悯他的。”
He answered, “The one who showed mercy to him.”

耶稣说：“你去照样行吧。”
Jesus said, “Go and do the same.”

祭司看见了受伤的人。
The priest saw the wounded man.
