改革宗从来没有认为："既然神预定了，一切努力都没有意义。"
恰恰相反，正因为神掌管万有，我们的劳苦就不是徒然的。神使用人的祷告、传福音、教导、劝勉、服事作为祂成就旨意的工具。
因此，真正相信神主权的人，不会变得懒惰，而会像保罗一样更加忠心，因为他知道自己的工作绝不会白费。

Reformed theology has never taught, "Since God has ordained everything, our work is useless."
Instead, because God is sovereign, our work is not in vain. God uses our prayers, preaching, teaching, encouragement, and service to accomplish His will.
